Amazing food! Have been looking for a good East Indian restaurant in Orleans, without success. Finally found it! Hands down the very best in Orleans. Such wonder flavour! And the owner/chef is very welcoming. What a gem of a restaurant. Come discover this treasure.
I went to this restaurant with my wife today for the first time and we both loved the food here. It's very authentic and fresh. The chef customize the food according to your taste and requirement which is great. I would definitely go here again.
The food at this restaurant is really good. It has the depth of flavour you hope to find in Indian food but can sometimes be missing in Indian restaurants. I ordered on the way home having just completed an exhausting weekend course. The food was ready when I got there and the owner was very friendly. I ordered vegetarian and they had a good selection of unusual veggie dishes. We had the mushroom masala and a spinach lentil dish, both delicious.
What a wonderful meal here! My brother, Alan knew he had to share this special treat and i was not disappointed. The friendly owner welcomed us in and we enjoyed the best pakuras ever, followed by butter chicken and soft delicious lamb. I recommend you to come and feast yourself. You deserve it!
If you're good trying to decide which Indian place to go to out of the several in this area, hands down go to this one! Some of the others have better ambiance but the food here is amazing. Such a depth of flavours, meat is tender and awesome portions of protein. so good. we will most definitely be ordering our Indian food from this restaurant from now on, it's the best I've had in a long time and I've eaten my fair share of Indian in lots of cities.
I gave this four stars rather than five because the experience could be improved if there was another server. When we came in on a Saturday afternoon the owner was working by himself serving customers taking orders over the phone and in the restaurant, as well as cooking the food. He was gracious and very friendly but had a lot going on. I suspect he's working by himself because it's a small business and labour is expensive, but if they can somehow afford to have a front desk person working for minimum wage taking orders filling water etc I think it would really help. That said I will continue to come to this restaurant regardless as the food is awesome and I really like supporting small business owners in my community.
I recommend this place highly especially for takeout, because the quality of the food I found really hard to get anywhere else. The chicken was tender, correct amount of spice and not one-dimensional like you can get with some Indian food, you can tell that he really put a lot of effort into it.
