Went to Rangoon while visiting Ottawa ay the recommendation of some friends. The decor and settings inside were lovely as were the staff/owners. I see a lot of shout outs to the tea leaf salad in these reviews, so I'll mentioned how fantastic I found the curried squash and the beef and basil stir fry. I recommend sharing plates so you can try as much as you can.

Fantastic food. Friendly staff. Will definitely be back. The spring rolls were large and very fresh tasting, served with a great sauce. The tea leaf salad was a very unique blend of flavours that I really enjoyed, and was enough to share among two people. Coconut shrimp was well done, though I wasn't sure if it was meant to be eaten as a soup or just the shrimp. If not, I would have liked some rice/steamed veggies on the side.

They only had 3 beers to choose from, but the owner said they would be getting more variety soon.

We love Rangoon! The owners are the sweetest, and make the most complex and delicious food. They will walk you through the menu and make excellent suggestions. My husband and I love spicy food, and she brought us fresh chilies for our dishes - and even sent us home with some from her own plant. Don't hesitate to try this place, it is an absolute gem.

Fresh and diverse, you won't find a menu in Ottawa like Rangoon's: green tea leaf salad, ginger salad, chickpea bites with a tamarind dipping sauce, coconut noodle soup, cassava and coconut cake, and so much more. The chicken Shan-style noodles were beyond expectations. So succulent and satisfying.

Totally affordable and well worth the visit. I am so glad I discovered this Somerset treasure. I've never tasted such an interesting combination of sweet, savoury, balanced acidity, and just the right amount of crunch.

The venue itself is charming and vibrant. The LOVELIEST owners and service. Rangoon deserves so much support. I will come back as much as I can and so should you!

Fantastic food! Friendly owner. If you're looking for a food adventure, go here. The flavours were new to me, and I eat and travel a lot. Tea leaf salad and ginger salad were both amazing. Chicken noodle dish was wonderfully tasty and a delight to eat. My wife had the beef with basil -- a simpler dish, but also tasty. We finished with cake, which was another taste surprise.

The only downside: no liquor license yet. But the owner assures us they will have one in the next few weeks.

I want to go back and try other dishes. The soups look interesting.

A great restaurant. Go there now.
