Delicious african food but long wait so call in your order

Love their grilled chicken, fantastic seasoning and grilled to perfection
Service can be a little slow sometimes

The chicken at this Hole in the wall restaurant is incredible. It is the most flavourful chicken I have ever had. However, the customer service leaves much to be desired. There can be inconsistencies in their food, with sometimes it being dry or less flavorful. The sides except for the fries are also quite bland. I would still go to this place to try their chicken because it is truly an Ottawa gem. 

The rating that I give this place is strictly for the food alone. As other patrons have expressed, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. This place provides ZERO customer service, they are simply awful at it!! What they are not awful at however, is the grilled chicken and their plantains. The rice was mediocre, but the chicken and plantains were soooo satisfying it nearly caused me to forget how bad their customer service is.

YKO serves up some vicious chicken. This is some chicken that has been kept close to fragrant wood charcoal. The only toughness is in the beautiful intensity of its African spices and chili heat. The intensely tender and juicy meat has thoroughly absorbed the smokiness. On the side are some seasoned rice with soft cabbage leaves and golden hot morsels of sweet plantains.
