I love going to the Keg, the prime rib is one of my favourite things in the entire world. Every single time I go I always get it and my boyfriend gets the New York peppercorn. We always have excellent service and amazing food. I would recommend starting with the baked Brie it's totally amazingly mouth watering.

Stopped by with some friends today to make a donation towards the wonderful things the folks at One Roof are doing for our community.

They have volunteers in every day, 365 days a year; making meals, lunch and dinner, 5 days a week (community groups volunteer to make a lunch and dinner each on Sat and Sun, at minimum, and often granola bars and fruit are available in the mornings for those who need it), running classes, workshops, training, and community outreach programs, providing free clothing, toiletries, and interview neccessities, a weekly pet food bank, and more.

Volunteers from the community provide free hair cutting days, yoga and meditation classes, women's self defense classes, art therapy, programs for kids, all sorts of services are offered weekly, monthly, or when available and can be found on their website or bulletin board inside.

All of it is free, and all of it is members of the community, giving back to the community in whatever way they know best.

*They are always looking for volunteers, or donations; cash, non-perishable food, fresh vegetables, call ahead for perishable food items

    * In summer and fall, they accept garden vegetables

** They really need more men's winter clothing (socks, coats, sweaters, and pants) which are not donated as often as women's or children's items**
