“I never rate anything but this place is worth taking a minute to give credit where credit is due. At first we saw the lineup and we wanted to leave but it moved fast. We sat in 5 minutes and we were eating 20 minutes later. The staff is very caring and professional. Delicious breakfast choices. Very fresh and satisfying. “There's a young gentleman who works at the location (late on Sunday nights, usually) and he goes above and beyond the call of duty. His customer service is beyond compare. The food is delicious, yes, but the extra mile makes us joyful as customers. I actually recommend people to go at this time to 241 just to see him in particular. Five stars!”

“Was in Ajax for the night and tried to find a breakfast place with gluten free options. Was very pleased to find the Blue Rooster. It was very busy on Sunday afternoon ... not surprising, of course. The service was very friendly, but unfortunately incredibly slow. We waited roughly 20 minutes before even getting to order, and about another 25-30 to receive our food after ordering. We didn't realize until later that there was only one waitress working the entire restaurant, so we were understanding of the wait. The food was pretty good, I ordered poached eggs to be cooked medium, but they were a bit too runny... though I realize they can be tricky. The prices are good, and there are lots of gluten-friendly options. All in all, it was a nice time.”

“Our new favourite place. We've been coming frequently in the last bit and the bartender we get every time it's an amazing server. She remembered our drinks and meals the second time we came and ever since which we love. She remembers our modifications and is such an attentive server. “The food and the prices here are always 4 stars. I've been going to Makimono Ajax for years, I even have a VIP card! We go to this place for every special occasion, however today it was a different experience. The service was horrible. First, we were given the wrong menu, then some of our orders were missed/forgotten about, then after we already got dessert and were finishing up they came up with food we didn't even order. Also we were seated close to the kitchen which was annoying since the staff speak very loudly to each other. Then when we spoke to the manager to voice our concerns, she did not apologize but suggested we simply don't give a tip. We still gave a tip, since there were multiple servers and some were fine. However I hope the service gets more professional and staff lose their attitude.”
