Makimono

I'm not one to normally post bad reviews, but my last experience at this sushi joint was not great. Went with a friend this past Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was not very busy. We had asked if we were able to get a booth. The young woman said she would just need to clean it up. We said no prob. After a minute she said the booth was ready. (The booth had crumbs on the seats still & the table was decently clean. (I thought fine- we were the ones that had asked for the booth even though it hadn't been cleaned yet). The server brought our menus, but never asked if we wanted any drinks. We had to ask her. Sushi tasted pretty good, but all of our dishes piled up by the corner of the table as we were finishing up. No one came by to clean them up. Then when we were done the server asked if we wanted refills on our drinks. We said no. She disappeared and we had to flag her down for our bills. I understand if this is her first waitressing job, but the staff should be retrained if this is the case. The restaurant wasn't even that busy. I've always had very good service at other Makimono's so I was surprised at this.

I thought the food was great. You pay for the experience, use of tablet was cool. However I was more than disappointed with the service. 4 people in the restaurant other than the 4 of us and plates piling up. On a week night? No server should ever walk by your table 5 times without clearing it, or even ask on the 6th pass, "Can I take your dishes?" Nah.... No excuse... can't say too busy. The service to customers needs to match the quality of the food.

My husband and I came here for the first time and we were both pleasantly surprised..The restaurant was very clean and orderly. We chose All you Can Eat Option..The sushi was very fresh tasting and really decent pieces..I have to say it was Fabulous! Our server was very sweet and friendly. We definitely would recommend this place. I hope they keep their standards high and don’t go downhill like a lot of other All you Can Eat places.
