We went here on Thanksgiving morning for breakfast and it was the best part of our weekend. The lady who served us was so friendly and we could tell that she knew nearly every customer in there personally. We aren't from Uxbridge but the atmosphere made us feel like we were locals too.

The food was also delicious!

My wife and I had lunch at Halibut House over the weekend. We shared an order of halibut & chips (2 pcs of fish and fries). The pieces of fish were large and the fries were cooked perfectly. But most of all the food was delicious!! Also the people that work there are very helpful and friendly.

If you want the best fish and chips in the Durham Region. (I consider them the best I've ever had anywhere) Halibut House is it. Now they open one very closed to my area in Uxbridge. We always get halibut and fries. The fish has just the right amount of batter and fried so it's not too crispy. Fries are from fresh potatoes. Portions are perfect and prices are reasonable. We have brought out of town guests here, and they always want to return on their next visit.

Went there with my mother twice in the last week. She loved the battered shrimp and I loved the fish! This is a fairly new restaurant but is by far one of the best Halibut House I have eaten at. Both times, the food was hot and properly prepared, the employees were very friendly and the restrooms clean. The price is good for the portion size. On both visits, our food was brought to our table right after we had our drinks and sat down. We will be eating here on a regular basis!
