Thistle Fish & Chips

Fish good but batter tasted funny though crispy and golden. Chips not good. Sad chips. Service excellent. Servers cheerful efficient and gave me more haddock when I said it was a bit small 3 stars for food and 5 stars for service !

It was good, but not great! the fries were amazing. The fish tasted ok but was a little soggy from the grease, needed to be a little crispier.

The starter sauce came in little packets as if we were at a fast food restaurant. For an actual restaurant they should consider making their own tarter sauce.

Excellent food, courteous and friendly staff. Nice dining area. Always a lineup, so get there early. Best fish and chips I've ever had.

Been going for over 10 years. Delicious fish and chips - sometimes I switch chips to sweet potato fries. Their fish batter is very light and crispy ???? Their chowder and steak and mushroom pie are also yummy. Staff is super friendly and service is quick.
Tip: Check the times as they close earlier than most restaurants open for dinner.
Monday to Wednesday- 11:00am to 7:00pm
Thursday- 11:00am to 8:00 pm
Friday- 11:00 am to 9:00pm
Saturday- 11:00am to 7:30pm
Sunday- Closed

Good fish and chips and a pleasant dining experience. Haddock and Chips seems to be the trademark here. The fish is done with a very light batter but lacks a fully coating - the fries are fresh and decent but need a less saggy taste. Putting the fish directly on-top of the fries seems to alter the taste. Staff is wonderful! A little expensive.
