“Excited to hear that "Mama's kitchen" is back! This restaurant changed ownership about 5 years ago, and my friends told me how much they've missed it. This is a friendly, down to earth, regular-folk kind of place. The service is quick and caring, The menu has lots of comfort food and is fairly priced, The food is excellent! My friend and I arrived on a weekday afternoon and had a breakfast dish of coffee, toast, eggs, hashbrowns and ham/bacon. Had a great chat with the owner, too.”

“My wife and I almost missed out on this local haven of Italian culture while we were touring the area. We decided to have dinner here after walking by and observing the open atmosphere, the beautiful food and the smiles on people's faces. One thing to note is that many of the tables were reserved. We were fortunate to get a table upon walk-in. Keep that in mind if you make plans to go here, which I would definitely recommend! The food is incredible! Each dish was nuanced and balanced. We ordered the smoked salmon on crostini, mushroom pappardelle, and braised lamb with couscous. Each of the dishes were a culinary journey and were presented beautifully on their plates. Perhaps more incredible than the food, was our host. Young and fiery, he explained each of the dishes and the sources of their ingredients to us. It was great that he could tell us what went into each dish! I ended our time at this place with a cappuccino, which was very good as well. We will definitely return again!”

“While on a drive through the area we discovered this diamond in the rough restaurant. Located on the Main Street, this traditional Chinese restaurant offers excellent food at reasonable prices. Steady stream of carry out customers while we dined in, is a good sign of its popularity. Dining room is nothing special but adequate. Not too many staff on hand and I've never dined in a restaurant where your wait staff leaves before your meal is served, but food was nicely presented, delicious, generous portions and served hot. Especially enjoyed the curry shrimp. Parking nearby. No liquor license at this restaurant. Majority of business is take away.”

“We are definitely going to be back! We came on a Sunday evening for dinner. I had the liver and onions and it was delicious! Actual fresh veg mix, liver cooked to perfection (no steak knife needed) and fresh mash potatoes. My husband had a burger. It tasted like a freshly made homemade burger patty. The fries were awesome and there was a ton of them! Fresh veggies on the burger were great. Prices were reasonable and the decor definitely let’s you feel like you’re in an English pub. Our waitress was so nice. Despite being a full dining room and a group in the back room, it wasn’t too loud. You could have a comfortable conversation without having to shout over loud music. So glad we stopped into Grimsby on the way home from Toronto.”

The 2nd time I went it was slow as the girls were too busy chatting and it was hard to call them over as the radio was too loud in the restaurant. I even found socializing with my friend difficult.
