Great food, great service. One of the best restaurants in Mississauga. It is always packed and for the best reasons. Skip the port credit strip and drive a little further. I highly recommend going here on a Friday/ Saturday night ????
Colossus is a small and quaint Greek restaurant. It is very small inside ("intimate"), but for nice summer and early Autumn days, there is more searing outside on a partly covered patio. Depending on where the sun is, the covering may not be sufficient, for those more fairly complected (like me) and who need shade. Our initial server, who didn't introduce himself, as is the North American custom and was more in a hurry for his smoke break (literally he stood just off the patio where were seated). He quickly took our orders, all of which were straight off the menu, so not complicated, and he got two fo three wrong. When he brought the food, it was summarily dumped on the table and he ran off for his smoke break. It was up to his colleague to make the orders right. The food however was well worth waiting for and our "replacement" server was very pleasant, professional and personable. Needless to say, she received a generous tip; I just hope that she didn't have to split it with HER colleague, who didn't deserve his wage much less any gratuity!
The best Greek food I've ever had. A very nice intimate atmosphere. The food selection is wonderful and the service is also great. My favourite is the dips (hummus, etc).
A nice little Greek restaurant with a great Greek ambience. We were seated in the patio on a weekday evening for dinner. Our waitress was nice friendly and helped us with the menu. We started off with the mini plate with all the different dips. They were very nice and fresh. The flaming cheese was definitely delicious and a highlight!
For our mains, we split a chicken souvlaki dinner plate. We asked for fries instead of boiled potatoes which the waiters forgot. When asked she got it for us, but we charged extra for “sharing an order”.
For our dessert we had the Greek custard pie which was pretty good.
Overall a decent restaurant, service can be a little bit better.
A very nice little Greek restaurant in the Port Credit area. The "outdoor" patio isn't actually outside but for some people (and in certain conditions) that can be a good thing. Plus there's an open window so you can still enjoy the fresh air. The staff were quick, helpful and friendly. The food is fairly priced for the most part. I had the gyro pita with rice and both were good.
Bottom line, if I'm back in the area and craving Greek food, this place will most likely be my first choice.
