“Quiet and spacious for a peaceful lunch. The spicy beef noodle soup was very good, well balanced spices in the broth though the meat itself could have been braised longer. The tea drinks doubled up as dessert so topped off the meal quite refreshingly.”

“I ordered the Mixed Fruit Green Tea. It comes with a small cute fork so that you can eat the fruits afterward. The drink had nice tea flavour but I found it a bit too sweet for my liking (even after stirring it). The fruits were like 90% watermelon and 10% strawberries and a citrus fruit, so maybe they should change that. Service here was friendly and nice. I would definitely return to try some of their other drinks!”

“Decent place. The decor was okay, the staff were okay and the good taste was okay. Not a great selection on their menu. Nothing at this dessert cafe stands out then all the others. Not the best tasting desserts I have had. The waiter left our food out waiting to be served to us for almost 10 minutes... The desserts presentation is nice though and good for a social media post.... But other then that the place is just blah.”

“Stopped in for a quick refuel on the way to a meeting and California Sandwiches didn't disappoint. Service was fast, friendly and efficient. Sandwiches were first class. I had the hot chicken sandwich, my partner had the grilled veggie sandwich with added mushroom. Both were delicious. Wish I had bought a drink as the bun was quite dry and I was in a hurry to gulp it down but that was my mistake - a drink was offered and there was plenty of selection but I was too cheap.”

“Went here twice—overall I really enjoyed it. I had the breakfast bowl for brunch, it was delicious. I also had the Cauliflower Tahini bowl for dinner on a separate occasion which I also enjoyed. The servers were very friendly though service was a little slow. Overall, I had a pleasant experience though and I’m happy to see more restaurants focusing on plant-based diets outside of the city proper. I’d definitely recommend them.”

“Never been there before. It's a good place for a quick business meeting and it took me a half minute to realize it was a fill your own cup type of coffee. Gave it 4 stars for decor, 3 for the coffee(meh) 3 and a half for the person who reluctantly came to the empty order counter with an eye roll. Maybe having a bad day.”

“They have bigger play place that accomodate both older and younger kids. Both my 4 years old and 2 years old loves it. And another plus point is that there's table setup in the play area where parents can eat while watching their kid(s) play.. The only downside with this setup is the spill from the food, while the kids were playing/running on just their socks..”
