Kelseys Original Roadhouse

First time I've been to Kelsey's in Collingwood in YEARS. I loved the "new" dining area where the patio used to be! They needed to expand their dining area, looks awesome!

Service was great! My girl friend ordered double mild Caesars, and the first one was not good. She is known to make a killer Caesar, so this wasn't a big surprise. It needed more Worcestershire and she wasn't impressed with their rim, so asked for just normal celery salt next time. Second one was bang on. Third was made really spicy and had to send it back to be remade. (Obviously, SHE wasn't driving!! Lol!). My white milk was ice cold and delicious! ????

I ordered the salt & vinegar cod & chips. It was very good! Fish was really tender and tasty and fries were amazing. My friend ordered a steak and baked potato and it was honestly the BEST steak I've tasted in forever!!! (I'm actually writing this review 10 days after we were there, and I just had dinner at The Keg in Barrie tonight and my steak was NOT good at all.. so this review is really saying a LOT about how amazing this steak truly was!!)

We finished with something called Funnel Fries. OH MY LAWD! If you haven't had these little glorious pieces of heavenly goodness, try them! Essentially funnel cake (like donut batter) cooked french fry style (size of fingers) served warm with caramel and/or chocolate topping and a scoop of ice cream. (I asked for a side dish of their cinnamon berry topping as well as the caramel and I'm happy to say it was delicious!!! ????)

All-in-all a fantastic meal! Great service. Drinks were the only issue and they made it right, so all good. Decent prices too!! Can't wait to go back!

Restaurant atmosphere and service were nice. This is one of the nicer Kelseys locations that I have been to. Our server was polite and attentive. The food was where this location lacked. Both my wife and son ordered wings that were way over fried and dry. I ordered the ultimate chicken and cheese burger that also had a chicken breast that was burnt on the outside and dry on the inside. We were compensated on the bill, but the food was disappointing.

Overall I may try this location again on the service itself hoping it was just a one time thing with the food.

Had a wonderful time at this Kelsey's thanks to our waitress. She made sure to check up on our table quite frequently and was very friendly. We came for the wing special and it was quite impressive overall. The wings were ready rather quick and were delicious. If I lived in the area I would definitely be visiting this location quite frequently.

The food was good, the atmosphere was amazing. The service was 5/5. Would recommend for a quick bite. Not too pricey. Was nice a cozy.

Fast seating, pleasant and attentive waitress, food was AMAZING!! I asked for medium/well steak. Quite often lately when I request this, I end up with steak that is basically well done, but this chef got it exactly right and the steak just fell apart in my mouth. Amazing. They were also very receptive to my gluten intolerance. Mom was equally pleased with her order. She requested fish but doesn't like salt and vinegar chips which was what their coating was, so they happily gave her fish a different coating and she was over the moon. She said her fish was incredibly delicious. Our experience there was absolutely fantastic and much needed after a tough couple of days. I highly recommend this place for your dining experience.
