Nicely designed place, food was good and staff were friendly. Service started off quick but then took a very long time to bring out food as the dinner went on. It's quite over priced for what it is. While the food was good, we were expecting to be wowed given who the chef/owner is but unfortunately weren't.

Definitely one one of the best Japanese Restaurants in Toronto.
Food's presentation was well execute and the quality was really good as well.
Service was excellent which is just as important as the food!

This place is wicked! 5 stars from quality to of service to the amazing Japanese dishes that they offer. The interior looks stunning too! Great place for special occasion love this Japanese restaurant.

Normally we are cautious with Michelin star chef opening many restaurants throughout the globe. Akira Toronto has definitely meet the expectations. We definitely will try the other affiliates. The food is full of nice surprises. Every nice and fast service. Fancy and modern decoration. Try the bar and counter seating, nice to see the live cooking scene.

Reservation is funny! You have hard time booking a time even middle of the week but when you go there they have lots of table available! I recommend walking in if it’s middle of the week.
Foods are amazing. Very tasty and decorated. The OMAKSE which is multi course item in their menu is actually good but you just get a bite of different items. I recommend choose less items from menu and eat more of those items more. At least you enjoy those items.
Nice atmosphere to sit and enjoy. Food is expensive but nice and tasty. Service is good too. I recommend it for sure. Picture is one of the items.
