Beavertails

The customer service is regularly swift, great vibes, welcoming staff. Will return again when I am here.

There was a time when you can only get Beavertails in downtown Ottawa but great to see that it's now more accessible at a few places. It's actually originally from Killaloe, Ontario just south of Algonquin. Lots of good stuff seem to come out of that part of town, another is Kawartha Dairy.

No, it's not the actual tail of a beaver (which ironically a couple of them reside in the Americas Pavilion not far from this location), that'd be cruel and probably not that tasty anyway. It's basically a flattened doughnut, sugar, and cinnamon. There are other flavours and toppings too but none seem to work quite as well as the original. Perfect companion when walking around at the zoo.
