Chakula Hut

We used Chakula Hut to cater our wedding/Nikkah ceremony in September. Muni was extremely easy to work with and provided us with several options that would fit within our budget but that would still make us stand out from traditional wedding snacks
Ultimately we decided to go with bhel (they do this with mango!), beef samosas and fruit kebabs. We were also able to trial the different options before deciding on the final menu
We were able to customize the décor to match our wedding colours and they added some other décor items to make the space more formal.
Our guests really enjoyed the food and still talk about it today! We recommend Chakula Hut for your next event, or even just when you're craving some African eats

Chakula Hut recently catered a family party for us. We spoke in advance about the number of people and food. They delivered to the party hall punctually the day of the event. Dishes includes bhateta vada, beef samosa, butter chicken, karahi gosht, channa daal, and rice and naan. All were a hit. There catering portions are quite large and we had a lot of leftover food. I spoke to the owners afterwards about the meal and they recommended changes for the future

By far the best East African food I have tried in Toronto. Compliments to the chef who prepares gourmet food everytime we go there. Affordable, delicious East African cuisine. Highly recommend.
