Tried the spicy fried chicken and sweet and sour (?) chicken. Spiciness level for the former: 4/5. Had to wipe the sauce off. The latter was much better, for the people who can't tolerate that much heat. Good flavour. Both were very saucy. Corn cheese was okay. Good sides of radish pickles, coleslaw, and cold pasta. Attentive service.
The decor reminds me of a Halloween house party (the ceilings). It's a dim place, quite small but just enough for me.
The servers are friendly and do a nice walk by to see if we need anything, but try not to disturb us.
The food is typical fried chicken house bar food. Nothing exceptional but still good flavours for their chicken.
Overall, it's nothing special but I especially like this place because it's always quite empty. No matter when I go, even on weekend evenings I will always get a table right away. And often times I can even pick which table I want to sit at! Usually there's only a few other groups at a time. I can actually have a decent conversation with my table without other loud obnoxious groups. The servers are prompt and helpful, we get our things fast and the quality of our food and drinks are actually good. Like, there's nothing wrong with the place and it's a big plus for someone more reserved like me!
