Food was good. I found it a bit over priced and was also asked to provide a tip when I placed my order at the counter. I assumed that meant there would be some service involved but there was none at all. So I tipped $6.50 for nothing. We had to get our own condiments and our table was not even cleared. While placing our order the cashier kept leaving to bus food which was pretty odd.
I have lived in the area for 4 years & sadly just discovered Salsa for the first time today.
I had the Parrillas BBQ meal with fried Cassava & it was amazing, also Gluten-free which is wonderful for me since I have Multiple Sclerosis & Gluten is a trigger. The staff were very friendly & food was very flavorful.
The portion was also good size, I had some left over to take home & eat later for $16, that's really good.
I would definitely recommend Salsa Venezuelan Street Food, & now that I know of the place, will be eating here again real soon!
I had something served with beef and chicken. It was at the bottom of the menu on the left hand side. The food was great! They give you 5 different types of sauces too. Sweet and not very salty. The portion was enough for two people. If you are not a food fighter, I would recommend you not order a appetizer. I wish they served it with some vegetables though. Then, it will be 10 out of 10. The dish is still one of the top five in the town even though it is called 'a street food.'
Food and attention is good. A couple suggestions. 1. I had the hamburger and it was great, however, you need to work on the consistency of the beef patty, it felt a bit hard and dry, maybe it was cooked for too long. 2. You need to steam the hot dog bread a bit more 3. You need to open up the kitchen, make it more of a street food experience where people looks at the cook doing his thing and could get a hold of the sauces, that would make it a 5 star.
