St. James Town Steak and Chops

Best butcher shop in Cabbagetown. I come here often and always buy their burgers and bacon which is unmatched. Prices are high but you are getting what you pay for in quality. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly.

Great selection of other essentials such eggs, cheese, bread, and fresh vegetables

Been going here for a few years at least. The meat quality is outstanding! Everyone I cook for is blown away by the quality.
The coffee beans are also great here.

The service is amazing as well. Worth a visit for sure!

This is a decent deli if your in cabbage town and want a corned beef on rye or something to that nature. Plus they have an attached butcher/grocery store. Prices aren't great but the quality is there! Its worth giving them a try!!

4.5 ???? This review is for the deli counter as I've never tried the butcher but have seen that they are a bit in the pricey side. Anyway the deli was outstanding. Their sandwiches are true works of art. Very generous portions especially when you consider that subway sandwiches are about the same price. They also have a lovely patio. Highly recommended.

I just absolutely adore this local butcher shop. Great service and amazing quality produce and meats. Mark is so wonderful and always prompt to answer any questions. I've even been able to find not just the run of the mill meats here, which is beyond fantastic (ie/ beef cheeks/goose/and the BEST lamb shanks you will ever find). Also - having a last name like Michelin is just killer! An awesome neighbourhood go-to and I was thrilled moving into this 'hood with such a wonderful spot within walking distance. Beyond A+ in all respects.
