My girlfriend lives in the area and tried this place for the very first time. First thing is that the building looks very run down but the food was actually decent. When I walked in the atmosphere was a little weird because it’s quite busy and everyone just watches you when you come in. The line up was really long but didn’t take too much time to get the food. I ordered a large oxtail and a large goat with a side of fried chicken. The cashier was very nice and didn’t rush me even though they were busy as heck. When it was time to pay for my food I did but I don’t think they charged me any tax. Which was great! When I received my food it seemed like a lot, which again I’m not complaining. The woman who handed me my food looked very miserable like she worked a 14 hour shift. She just called out a number and passed me my food. When I got home I couldn’t wait to try the food because it made the whole car smell really really good. The first thing I tried was the oxtail. I was a little turned off because it tasted sweet which was weird but the portion they gave me blew my mind. They packed my container full. Next time I’ll definitely order a medium. The oxtail was ok but just not use to the sweetness and also there was a lot of thyme in my food. When I mean a lot I mean A-LOT. I then tried the goat and it was delicious. Seasoned and cooked beautifully. The rice and peas was just alright and they hardly put any coleslaw but I’m not complaining too much because they packed my container full with meat. I would recommend this place to someone.

Large portions and tasty. Jerk chicken wasn't spicy but flavourful. Maybe they gave BBQ chicken? Doesn't matter it was good. Got red snapper, whole fish, it was spicy and fried perfectly. Rice and peas was fluffy and the gravy was excellent. Wish they put a little more on though. Colesaw was done right too. Service was good as well. Will come again.

    Oxtail too sweet
...too many finely chopped bits of thyme twigs in food especially the soup.
..the soup has too much tripe and other meats but not enough provision, dumplings etc.
The soup is way too oily,.. you're killing your people.

The rice does not seem like real rice,..tiny grains that are hard and chewy(synthetic)

Speak up people you're spending your money, you deserve quality food.

    Jerk chicken is good.

My Boyfriend lives in the area and I have gone there a few times when I am in Scarborough. This is by far the best place I have eaten Caribbean food. I just wish they had more veggie options and more locations. This place is the best kept secret. Overall I recommend this place if you are looking for Authentic Carribean Food ! The service is exceptional as well they are always so helpful and very nice even on busy days.
