Best breakfast I’ve ever had, great service.
i ordered the Mexican omelet it was amazing the flavour mix is just great, my wife ordered Angel’s omelette she liked it as well. We will come again for sure. Recommend it
Clean restaurant, friendly staff and reasonable prices. The decor is nice too, old time with Elvis, Charlie Chaplin and more. The food is delicious and the serving size is huge.
I always have a good experience at Angel's. On my last visit, the server was warm, friendly and attentive. On a weeknight evening, it was a bit busy, but we were quickly seated and seen by the server. Our food took a little longer to come than expected, but we were tired and hungry, which may have skewed our sense of time.
For dinner, I had the vegetarian omelet, which came with home fries, veggies and toast. It was a big portion and surprisingly tasty. It wasn't salty or greasy, as with my experience at other diners. The veggies on the side were fresh (not frozen), well seasoned and perfectly grilled. The toast was lightly buttered, just as requested.
I've been told that Cambridge has some of the hardest water in all of Canada - which you'll notice in the drinking water. The tap water had a noticeably different taste than GTA water, but it was drinkable.
They have a big, meat-based menu, with few vegetarian options, but the options I've had in the past have always been good.
Although there were many families in our section, it was still a calm and quiet experience. Oldies played softly in the background, which added to the pleasant atmosphere. There's a jukebox at the entrance, and old, classic posters, which added to the oldies vibe.
While I sat at a comfy booth, I noticed the spacious seating in the center, which would be well suited for strollers, walkers or any mobility device. I didn't visit the washroom, so I can't comment on that. I don't recall how wheelchair friendly the entrance or parking lot was.
I live out of town, but have frequented Angel's while passing through. If you're looking for a classic family diner experience, this is it! I will happily return.
Oh my God! Angel's is an absolutely magnificent restaurant. The staff are always happy to see you and serve you; they're always up for pleasant chitchat. The atmosphere is wonderful with their oldies vibe and I love the posters and portraits of some of the greats- Elvis, Marilyn Monroe, The Beatles- hanging up everywhere. The food has always been absolutely delicious and hot. This is one restaurant I will keep coming back to, for sure!
