    Great service! Food was adequate. Not bad but not great either. Properly priced!

    Our server was an absolute darling! He was so attentive and made sure everything was perfect. The coffee was delicious but honestly just the experience of dining here was enough to invigorate me for the day. Ten out of ten, would break my fast here again.

    Wonderful local diner hosted by a lovely couple that have been running the place for decades. Excellent quick service, delicious meals, very reasonable price point & a small town feel. It's perfect. ♡

    The food is awesome! The Checkerboard is an old school Mom and Pop restaurant where you feel welcomed as soon as you enter. The staff is amazing, and the prices are too good to be true. This place brings back memories for me and many of the long term patrons. Best fries and gravy since I was 16.

    This is our go to place for a classic breakfast every single weekend. It's a smaller restaurant so there's not a TON of seating, but it's always a brief wait for a table (10 minutes max). The menu is classic, seems untouched since they opened - keeping prices low. The service is always good, seems like home when you're there. Food is great, I've been there upwards of 25 times and have never had any issues.

    Would definitely recommend!
