“We were there for a Friday night Christmas office party. Our upstairs room was decorated with a comfy and kitschy vibe. The food was delicious, hot and flavourful. The most outstanding part of the evening was the service. We have been so disappointed with the service at one of the city’s biggest and most well known restaurant groups. The service at The Rich Uncle was excellent. I have high standards for service and have been hugely annoyed by expensive restaurants that don’t do the basics. For high prices we are expected to use the same cutlery, beg for refills of water and wine and jump up and down to get a waiter’s attention. Here we were all were served at the same time with a system that allowed for no mistakes. We had tons of fresh warm bread, our cutlery was changed at the correct time, our glasses quietly refilled constantly and our waiter was knowledgeable about the food and many wines. He was professional and very friendly. Good combination! A very enjoyable evening!!”

I've tried their burgers, shawarmas and souvlaki plates, and they are hands down my favorite out of any other place I've been to. They're service is also very good. The food was fresh, hot and made quickly and to my order. The people there are also very nice. Their portions are large, and they have good prices. I never leave hungry or wanting more. Hands down my favorite restaurant.”

“I was at McCabe's Kitchener location for dinner, this past week. This is my favourite pub in this area. I had the shepherds pie, which was really tasty. Service was ok. McCabe's is a noisy place. TV screens are omnipresent. Not appropriate for a quiet conversation, therefore, but outstanding, reasonably priced food.”

“An old school Italian restaurant in downtown Kitchener. Was staying in Waterloo for three day for work, and we found three wonderful restaurants to eat at each day of which this was perhaps the most comforting. We ate the fish of the day, spicy shrimp from the appetizer, gnocchi (perhaps some of the best I have ever had) and tiramisu. They are warm and welcoming, and if I am in town I would go back. Street Parking is a bit of a pain, but worth it for the food!”
