I've had a really hit and miss time with country Boy, over probably 12+ visits. Sometimes the eggs are cooked well, and sometimes they are cold/hard. My go to is the kw favourite, 3 eggs with polish sausage (which is good if you ask for it extra crispy, same with the potatoes) or bacon or sausage, and potatoes +toast. It's a great deal at 7.99. I always have to ask for my potatoes to be well done, as they often come out mushy. But I'm hopeful that with new management coming we will get more consistent food service at a higher quality. The fact you get coffee in a carafe is one of the main reasons I return, I wish more restaurants in kw did this.

It's plain to see why this restaurant is popular if you eat here, particularly as a breakfast destination.
The portions are very large with a homemade heartiness to them. Simple, fresh and delicious, traditional Canadian comfort foods, offered in any combination you can think of.

It's relaxed, and casual, and the service is the same.

They recently redid their decor to a more modern look, but I prefer the previous style, more fitting to a restaurant with "Country" in the name, and the easygoing atmosphere. There was a nice mural on the vaulted ceiling in the center area, but it's gone now, unfortunately.

The prices are quite good for all the quantity and quality of what you get.

Most breakfasts come with a large side of round-sliced pan-fried potatoes, perfectly browned and crispy, and is enough to fill you up nearly all by itself.

If you're going for breakfast, and you consider somewhere quick and convenient, forget that, and just go to Country Boy, it's worth it every time.
Helps if you go hungry, too!

I look forward to returning yet again.
