Leung Yue Hot Pot

No frills ayce hot pot. Decor looks run down, service was almost nonexistent, and not a lot of fancy choices for food, but they have all the essentials and what they do have were good. Food was fresh and many of the items appear homemade, including meatballs and satay/hot sauce. Noodles are a must try. Says beef is only 2lbs per person (not ayce) but that's 2 plates per person and that was more than enough for us.

This is a fantastic place for hotpot. The meat, sauces, are absolutely delicious. HOWEVER, be warned. Do NOT go here if you "just want to try something new". Going with someone who is Chinese and can speak Cantonese or Mandarin is a must, and you should probably have experience with hotpot in general. I went with my girlfriend who is Chinese so I didn't have to maneuver the environment myself. The experience is chaotic. You get there, and there's a massive line already building up. The manager comes out, and starts organizing everyone like cattle. You're told where to sit, and sometimes you sit with other people. However, it doesn't feel like a problem. That's just how it is, and it works out. Service is speedy, but non-existent. Order your food, and shut your mouth. The food is worth the unorthodox ways of this restaurant. Just keep this in mind while coming here; keep your pride in check, accept there's no service, and just enjoy the great food and perhaps the great mango slush.
