“Excellent pie at a reasonable price. A small pie (maybe 5" in diameter) was roughly 6$ including tax, and well-made, too! The atmosphere is also great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It's a very relaxed atmosphere. And if you're a student, they have a Wednesday special where you get 20% off for lunch/early dinner. I'll definitely be coming back.”

“The first time I went there, the person attending to me was extremely warm and friend. She made me feel welcomed and I was looking like a vagrant (believe you, me)!! My subsequent visit was just the same. The food was tasty and the serving was more than enough. Totally recommend.”

“The service is as quick as can be expected I suppose, but the store gets disproportionately busier as it gets later in the night. In university territory so it is understandable but it would be nice to see some kind of queue system set up for people waiting for their orders, or maybe more screens throughout the restaurant to let you know about what orders are being processed as a given time.”

“I've been to a few board game cafes so far and Games on Tap is hands down the best. The games are very well organized so you can find the game you want where you think it will be (and if not, the patrons help you out). Games are clean and I haven't experienced anything missing pieces or being in poor shape. Good beers on tap with a menu that can feed you well while you play. The food comes fairly quickly and is priced reasonable well. The place itself is very clean, spacious, and is quite comfortable. Come here with your friends, you'll have a great time!”

“Thought I'd run through and grab a quick coffee for myself and my wife. Neither coffee was good. I can hardly believe I'll say this, but I think Tim Hortons was better. For $5.09 for two watered-down tasteless coffees, I don't think I'll be back. I guess on a positive note, two bottles of water that would taste almost the same, would be more money at a convenience store.”

“We ordered 3 Happy Meals, they put all the ketchup and sauce into one box instead of all 3, no napkins anywhere, and the teen who took the order was stoned. Service was pretty quick though and the food order was correct so decent location. I'd go to this one instead of the King and Columbia location that is always sooo busy.”

“If I could give this place 10 stars I would. We just had my daughter's third birthday at Recharge and Play. The staff made it so stress free. They decorated in the theme I had picked out. Took care of of the clean up too. I had time to relax and chat with other parents and my child and her friends had soo much fun. I highly recommend hosting your next birthday party here!”

“Amazing place to enjoy a tasty cup of coffee in a nice location “uptown Waterloo”. Good place to invite a friend on a cup of coffee. They offer a good selection of coffees and bakeries at an affordable price. There are two seating areas one inside the coffee and the other is opposite to it, so in term of space is enough. The Cafe’ is a part of Princess Twin Cinema which is a nice place to watch classic movies at an affordable price ($9 for students). Anyways, this is a perfect place to explore the Canadain cultural aspect in Waterloo.”

“Really good spring rolls here! All vegan too. Breakfast was good and the place is super nice. It has outdoor seating and beautiful interior. Lot of folk come by here on our Sunday brunch. It’s right next to UpTown so it definitely does attract a crowd. We would love to come again for the spring rolls and also try some of their desserts/pastries :)”

“It's close to campus, which is nice and convenient. However, they do not have any study outlets so if you are planning on spending the day studying here, it would be difficult. The food and coffee here is okay at best. I also have not received the best service here, but I also understand this might just be because the staff are overwhelmed and busy. I do think it is a bit overpriced for what you get.”

“I was passing by the place just checking the menu, and the way the staff greeted me and were very nice and polite made me want to eat something there, the food was very good, and they offered me a free coffee! They have good selection of food items on their menu, and they have Halal options as well. The prices are very reasonable. I will for sure go back to try their steak soon.”
