We found the store after walking for 3 days from Goderich. It was a rainy day and this was the perfect spot to get refreshed and fed and find our rather sore feet in order to set out again.
The food was fresh. Must admit coated French fries are not my favourite but these were good and the fish was wonderful. Flakey, hot and tender. The selection of drinks is rather extensive for a smaller store and though I did not get a chance to taste it (the person I was hiking with did) I am given to understand the soft serve vanilla is delicious (He has editted this to say the best soft serve he has ever had.)
We tried to finish the last 40km fast enough to make it back to town before they closed the next day for another celebratory ice cream but I was 15 minutes late. Will be driving back to try it again sometime.
The food is amazing! They have a fairly large selection of delicious food for a convenient store. Nothing compares to their pulled pork and assorted cold cut subs. If you are driving through Linwood you must stop by.
Agree they do make an excellent sub. Had the assorted cold cuts on the counter girl's recommendation. Great place to stop if you are biking the railtrail. Note fastfood restaurant style seating and the place to go for rubber boots.
Best place to go for lunch during work. The food is quick, the atmosphere is warm, and the staff is friendly. I always go there for a soup and sandwich!
I can't believe how good the fast food is here! Everything is fresh, the hamburgers, the pulled pork the soft serve ice cream! Funny how a small town can get it right.
