“When I first walked into this place (largely based on reviews that I had read), I wasn't sure what to think. It looked a bit like an old style diner, or maybe a school cafeteria. I had a burger and fries - nothing fancy, but it was pretty tasty. What really got me was the man who was working there. I assume he was the owner, though I don't know that for sure. He was very personable, polite, and friendly, and really seemed to care about his customers. The world needs more shop/restaurant/small business owners like him.”

“The best fish and chip shop in Fergus. Golden's halibut may be more expensive but it's definitely worth it, as it just melts in your mouth and is delicious. They also have onion rings which are really good. The owners are regularly out front and both are welcoming, which is quite nice.”

“Enjoyed the Lobster Prime Rid buffet for a second time. Lobster much better than our first visit. Staff excellent, courteous and professional. However, when half the waiting line was made to wait outdoors in the chill and wind wonder if you cannot devise a more humane system due to having elders and handicapped waiting for 30 minutes. Hopefully this can be changed for our next visit.”

“My husband said that he had "the best chicken sandwich I have ever had", my quiche was baked perfectly. The tomato coconut milk soup with shrimp relish was spicy but oh so surprisingly delicious. “I ironically love this place but don't drink beer. But the friends I am with always speak very highly of their brew. It's a beautiful building and has great vibes. Sometimes when I go there's live music, which is great, but the acoustics of the room make the music super loud and conversation sucks. Sometimes I find the service to be really slow. We've had to grab our food and bills at the same time a few times now. But the real joy is EBC is the food. I swear the food is ever better than the beer. Ingredients are fresh and the menu is thoughtful. The mac and cheese is a favourite amongst most of us now. The burgers are awesome. I love it here. Favourite place in Elora”
