“One of the few Portuguese restaurants in the region. Odd layout in commercial building, ample parking across the street in shopping centre. Classic Portuguese cuisine dishes from meat and fish to seafood. Some fish dishes lack the traditional spiciness. Reasonable prices for quality and quantity. Friendly and efficient service with a smile, owner on site. Good spot for introduction to Iberian type cuisine.”

“We enjoyed a very nice lunch on Saturday. Everything was great (food, service, atmosphere, reasonable price). The only complaint I have that we waited 30 minutes for a table near window even when the restaurant was empty. After 30 minutes we got a table not at the window but close (many tables were empty). After one hour 9 tables in good location were still empty. Poor management. I recommend to reserve your table ahead of time as you'll not get it even if it's available.”

“We’ve been to this restaurant some six or seven times. Our experience has been inconsistent, depending much on the time of the day and the server. For the majority of these visits, the servers have been quite in-attentive. For one or two, we’ve had an excellent server. In terms of the food, we’ve found it really depends on what you order. The roasted chicken and the burgers seem to be very well prepared and presented. The pizza lacks taste and texture. During our last visit we had an omelette and the behind meat burger, which is a great addition to their menu!”

“I went to Houston Bar & Grill restaurant to celebrate my birthday with a large group of friends on August 9. Pro: the waitresses were extremely nice and helpful with the menu. The grilled salmon and steak were extremely good. Con: The only reason why I am giving it a 3 star is because the manager is rude. He made the experience at the restaurant very unpleasant, to the point his waitresses had to come and defend him. It was still a bad look.”

“Awesome as always! Best spring rolls in town, hands down. Awesome "summer" rolls I've never had a dish I didn't like here. And every dish that comes out of the kitchen is made by Bien, so this place couldn't be more consistent. Sauteed dishes are fresh and delicious, all made from scratch, tons of good stir fried vermicelli options, flat rice noodles, crispy noodles. On the weekend he does lamb and filet mignon. For less than $50 my friend and I stuffed our faces and had leftovers to take home. If you have room left for dessert he makes a mean deep fried banana too. You can also bring your own wine/beer, and he doesn't even charge a corking fee. Awesome family-run restaurant!”

“We stopped in for a coffee and dessert on an impromptu date night. We had the rum cake and the deep fried Mars bar... Pure decadent sweetness. “It appears the place has been sold to a new owner, the quality is not the same. It used to be much better. Just to name a few issues: the garlic sauce is not as tasty, the potatoes are not fresh, they taste like leftovers, and the hummus is way too watery, etc...If it's the same owner then he might need to look closer and bring the quality back.”
