Allô! Mon Coco Décarie

It was an OK experience. I wouldn’t say it was the beat experience.

I ordered the chicken and waffles. Which was supposed to be served with maple syrup or have it on it— but it was bare or seemed like it. The chicken was good but a little over cooked. Also the waffle was very dry. It ended up sitting to the side of plate. I was also served some over easy eggs and toast which was basic but good.

The main issue was our waitress. While she seemed nice a majority of the time, she didn’t seem to care about our needs much. She never came to our table to ask if we needed anything or if our meal was good (or I would have asked for maple syrup). We ordered lattes when our food arrived and she never brought them til we were almost finished. The place wasn’t crowded, it just didn’t seem like we were a huge priority to her.

I had ordered a “bowl of chopped fruit” to go, and I made she was bringing it — she made a smart remark about the guys in the kitchen in a joking way, but it def came off snarky.

When I got the fruit was not the best selection, compared to my friends that came with her meal. A half banana, a slice of honeydo, watermelon slice, and orange slice, and a small slice of grapefruit, a few strawberries, ONE raspberry, a slice of kiwi— this was a UPSETTING moment as I realized I’d paid 8$ for that.

Anyhow— I don’t think I’ll return. There are better breakfast joints that actually put effort into their meals.

Food was okay. Service was great, although the people assigning seating appeared sullen and to hate their jobs. We were seated near the entrance on a cold day, and our food got cold pretty much instantly.

There is lots to like, including lots of fresh fruit, generous portions and lots of options. Ideally for me I would have given 3.5 stars because the vegetarian casserole that I ordered was not well described in the menu...

The menu says vegetarian casserole with roasted peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes... Served with fruits, potatoes, eggs of your choice.

Instead it was actually a potato casserole with those vegetables baked in... So very potato heavy.. it was still good, just not what I thought I was getting... Enough to feed three of me!

Also it is very loud in there because of the high ceilings... Expect to shout to be heard...

First, the place is spacious, well organized and beautiful.
Second, the personnel was awesome, caring and ready to go the extra mile for you to feel well served.
Finally, the menu is diverse, the food delicious and enough. Also the presentation is worth my 5 stars. I highly recommend that place
