Interesting burgers. The patties are moist and crumbly. I assume they are kept hot and ready to serve on a steam table but they remind me more of meatloaf than a grilled beef patty. Tasty though.
I had a "buck burger" and a side of fries. The burger came with cheese, capicolo, tomato, onion and pickled Italian peppers on a steamed bun. It was delicious and fairly big. The fries were nothing special. They were hand cut, but not as crispy as they could be and with an unpleasant taste of burnt fryer oil. Maybe just my bad luck. Will give this place another try.
I think, and I've been around the world and through the family gauntlet of burgers, that this is hands down, the juiciest and best burger I've ever had. Onion rings? Delish. Fries? Scrumptious. Ice tea? Well, it's ice tea. Definitely give this place a second and third try.
I haven't been around as long as they have, but I have been around long enough to watch this chain of restaurants slowly contract down. I am not sure, but this may be the last location, which is good that it's its first location after 90 years that's pretty good. There burgers aren't even all that special, but as they are something local that has been around so long they're kind of special to me. I like their Buck Burger (originally named for the cost) with hot peppers, cheese and capicollo, though the hot peppers don't necessarily like me. Great fries and a choice of other fast food items available. The renovated location is clean and comfortable. There is limited parking available for free and there is paid spots too. It's walkable from Monk Metro. If you haven't had one of their burgers you ought to go give it a try.
What can I say about this burger? It’s amazing, tender, delicious! I can go on! Price is decent, $14 for a buck burger, onion rings and a drink. On the burger comes these pickled peppers which are amazing, I’ve eaten a lot of burgers in Montreal and it seems that dillalo is one of the few spots I always return to. It’s been around since 1929 and still killing it, give this place a try!
Honestly one of the best burger places in Montreal! What an excellent burger and great place to come. Come here and you won’t be disappointed!!! We came all the way off island from the west just to eat here! Well worth the 45 minute drive! Thank you for a great evening with my father and brother.
