Great ambiance. Food was fresh. Not impressed with the service. Had to ask several times for water. They brought us coffee and again we had to ask twice for milk. Aside from the lack of service everything is great.
Amazing bread! Done the good ole fashion way. Grab some cheese & enjoy!
Location: In Griffintown. Street parking is available but you'll need to be patient when looking for a spot. I have no idea how you'd there via transit but I'm sure there's a bus from somewhere, that will get you here.
Place: It's pretty small so if you want to brunch on a weekend, you should get there early.
The goods: This is going to be a preliminary review until I go back for brunch... I stopped in to get coffee, and decided to get bread too. I got the sun-dried tomato fougasse. It was very fresh and smelled delicious. Taste-wise, it underwhelmed me. Wanted to love it, but oh well. The latte (almond milk) didn't work for me. It was very bitter.
Service: Great - very friendly.
Price point: On par with similar places.
Will update review after my redo.
Totally amazing food and service.
I have been going to Bête à Pain for several years now.
Never once have I been disappointed with the experience.
Baked goods are baked fresh with a huge selection all at reasonable prices.
Breakfast and lunch menus offer great options to choose from. My favorites are Avocado Toast for breakfast and Ham and Cheese sandwich for lunch. There are some great others options as well.
Service is fabulous. Today, the manager was supporting Customers in the dining area. She is amazing along with others on the staff.
This is a wonderful place. You will not be disappointed.
Very delicious but unfortunately, the quality is inconsistent. On three separate occasions I’ve tried the apple roll and it was amazing the first time, downright inedible the second, and dry but passable the third. The bread has always been a winner. Really pleased with their classic bread offerings! One of my favourite baguettes in the city for sure.
The coffee is okay but I have found my Americano, ordered black, has both times been a little more than half full in the cup. Not sure why this is.
