Atmosphere was very entertaining - it was a great fine dining experience (we were seated at the bar table). The service was exceptional and the cocktails simply amazing - you’ve got to order it!
We did the chef’s tasting menu and it was very good however we weren’t blown away by the food... The food quality was great and we loved the flavors but in comparison to other great places in town, it just didn’t hit the spot that we were hoping for.
great experience. food was original and great at the same time. we ordered a la Carte because we tried the tasting menu before. the halibut fish was our favorite. and least favorite was the wild boar in a soup.
Legende has to be the best restaurant in Quebec City. Each dish had a mixture of unusual items that produced outstanding flavor. There was a risotto with sunflower nuts in place of rice. What? There was halibut with pesto sauce underneath and a tomato sauce on top. We asked for a vegetable dish to share and they prepared broccoli in butter with shaved vegetables on the side. We had an excellent rose wine to go with the dinner.
Very friendly staff ! They offered us something else when they saw that we didn't touch one of the dishes on our tasting menu. They're also very honest. A small fly fell in our dish and could've easily blended in if we weren't paying attention but she had that switched as well. The fish was my favourite, the sauce was simply impeccable. My second fave was the cornbread with vanilla ice cream and blueberries while the bison steak ranked close behind !
A wonderful dining experience, ordering the blind 6 course tasting menu with a wine pairing as well as a non-alcoholic drink pairing. It was a thoughtful menu, creating some multicultural flavours, with all ingredients sourced from Quebec. The drink pairings were well-explained as to how it was chosen (or created) to complement the following course.
Would return to see how their menu changes for another season!
