Restaurant Shand Thai

Pleasant and efficient service, reasonable prices, but make no mistake, this is NOT authentic Thai food.

This is maybe my third or fourth time here, it's a bit pricey, but for the area the food is great. The owners are super nice too, even though they turned our party of 13 away when we had reservations for 10 because they wouldn't be able to serve us. This time, I called to make sure they weren't on winter hours yet (closed : mon,tues,wed) and yes they had room. The terrace is small and closed off with plastic, so they let us sit inside where it is quieter. Lovely ambiance here, some nice artwork around. The homemade punch is very good too, and so is the rest of the food. (Even though this time I found a hair on my plate) we tried the calamari, dumplings, Tao, shrimp rice & ribs, this time. It was delicious try both soups. It's a hidden gem in this town for sure.

Beautiful ambiance by the water/marina. Food unique, simple, deliscious. Owner super nice and a hard worker. Service on the, slow side but super nice and professional????

Thé best place in OKA

Price is a little high. You can find the same kind of food in other restaurant for less money. Very good service and really well place right in front of the lake. Its still worth going.
