“I love this place, we can have special lunches and plates filled. We pay for a few things !! But you have to arrive very early, before 9:15 am ..In my opinion the best lunch in the Laurentians all is good hot and well served. When entering a girl you place and always with a smile.And the service is impeccable no error in the order and if this happens to you it will do everything to remedy.Les portions are generous and the food is fresh especially fruits . The most interesting is that we are recognized after a few visits and it's nice when people recognize us.”

Best thing to note is I first went to their competitor wich was 8.45 and their doors where closed, so drove to by Voltigeur and guess what, the doors where open and even re opened the oven for me wich was shut off. Big points added there..oh and cool little place to hang a bit for a drink or two”

“let me start by saying that I was raised on steamed hot dogs and french fries from "Chez Ma Tante" rest in Ahuntsic. To me these were the best in Quebec. Never found another one like it until I went to Frites et Basilic this week. I tried a toasted hot dog and 1 frite. The first thing I noticed was the hot dog sausage they were using (shopsy's), the second was the chou. Both were identical to Ma Tante. So I went back last thursday with a friend to try the steamed hot dogs, as I was sure they would be the same as Ma Tante's. And they were. The fries were even better. I talked to the owner about Ma Tante and he too was raised on their hot dogs. He said the difference is the Shopsey's sausage. Nobody has it as it is twice the price of the others. So no more travelling, once a week, to Ma Tante's. That being said I will have to travel there as Frites and Basilic is closing tomorrow Sunday Oct 22 for the winter. Re opening early April 2018. So until then back to Ma Tante's.”

“I went with a cheeseburger, a Michigan hot dog and fries. Honestly, as comfort food goes, this is the best. Cheeseburger is good and cheap! Perfect value. The Michigan hot dog was GREAT. That sauce is on-point. The fries are PERFECT. Literally perfect. Good portion size vs value. it's so worth it though! My personal thing about this place will be a nice stop between going to Tremblant to Montreal. Kid friendly.”
