Kaffe 1870

Before today, I'd never been to Wakefield. I was visiting friends who are regulars at Kaffe 1870 and we went there together after dropping by the Wakefield Inn. The location is sweet - right across the road from the river and Kaffe 1870 carries an easy vibe. The choice of music is great and is reflected in the varied vinyl album covers that decorate the walls close to the ceiling.There is a stage for live music and I was told that, among the others who perform, the owner is a musician of some repute. I really enjoyed my time there and would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good time with friendly bartenders, kitchen staff and clientele.

It's not fancy, but it is authentic. Food feels almost homemade. No menu, just whatever is on that day. Good prices, good beer. Cozy spot suited well for a small band.

Always a good time at the Kaffe. Good food, great drinks, fair prices with a friendly staff. This is a great local spot for locals or tourists.
