Bistro la Traite

The food was amazing and the prices are more than affordable. We were a group of 11 people and it was short noticed also but they made the reservation process very easy for us and everything was perfect. They even brought out our cake and cut it for us as well. Plus the terrasse was a huge bonus. The service is impeccable and everything fell into place so that we wouldn't have to be late to our boat tour. A MUST if you are visiting Chateauguay or want to try something different and country chic.

Fantastic restaurant to visit whilst around St-Bernard Island. Good prices for the food, with a varied selection of beer.

Great spot see the sun setting, and stop in at the bistro for a bite and a drink . menu is good and the staff are pleasent.

Food very good, too bad I can't say the same about the service. Went on a Sunday, was nearly empty (3 tables sitting only) showed up as a party of 4 and the waitress was hesitant to tell us to sit down because "she was alone for the evening" (never worked in a busy restaurant before? 4 tables to wait for isn't exactly being overworked...). Took our order and served in an acceptable time, but never bothered coming back to the table to refill our glasses or to ask if we needed anything. To be noted that only 1 more table showed up while we were there (party of 6) and 2 of the 3 tables that were there when we showed up finished up and left while we were eating, so it's not like it was extremely busy... Would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the so-so service.
