The Royal Oyster

Second time to eat here, first was November 2019. Food was amazing! Pork belly made my impatient father understand that good food is slow food. Oysters were amazing just as the were last fall. We love this local jem, and the bartender and chef. The young lady that is the bartender/everthing is so sweet and happy no matter how busy they get. Yeah they get busy and the kitchen can get backed up... so what it is a mom and pop at its best and shouldn't change. As long as the Royal Oyster is open we will eat here every time we visit gulf shores.

A little disappointed to be honest. Staff didnt seem to have it together. Appetizer came out AFTER the entrees and salads didnt come out until entrees did. If you want to pay $30 for THREE scallops and a side of grocery store linguine this is the place for you! On a positive note, oysters and drinks were delicious and great menu options. Willing to drop some money on a nice night out but didnt expect to drop $150 for mediocre service and horrible portion sizes

Best raw oysters in Gulf Shores, everything on the menu we tried was delicious. They have a good salad too which is hard to find. Xtina is amazing and we had the best service from her!! Will definitely be back- we love this place

Excellent atmosphere and view! The menu read well. The flavor combinations and ingredients all sounded amazing, but the execution was lacking. For example, The pork belly on our sandwich was limp rather than the crisper texture we were expecting. We will definitely try it again, everywhere can have a off night.
