Cafe Del Rio

We enjoyed our lunch here. Other places were full with waits, but this place sat us immediately. It's gotten some bad reviews, I can't agree with some of what I read. Our food came out very quick. It was well seasoned and hot...except for my beans, tasted good, but could have been hotter. I had fish tacos. The generous portion of fish was fresh & not over-cooked. The sauce had a lot of flavor. The rice wasn't sticky or dry and tasted good to me. Hubby had a taco salad...it was so big it didn't stay in the shell. In fact, the shell is constructed so that it's meant to be open on one side to allow the ingredients to "spill" out onto the plate. He enjoyed the salad, but couldn't eat it all. He thought it was seasoned well. Also, they make their shells in-house on an cool machine. Kind of wanted to go back there and help make shells. :) The service was good, too. Our server was very pleasant and made us feel like we were the only ones there...and we weren't. They had a good lunch crowd.

It took a really long time AFTER we were seated to get our food and then it was wrong. They put the correct order in, then the good we cold. Our first visit was definitely a disappointment. I requested to sit outside, but she say us inside.. But the people after us were say outside.

We set up a group dinner event and couldn't have been happier. The food was great and service was amazing. Management and staff were very accommodating for our group of 30. It is definitely a place we will visit again and again!

Good Mexican food. Service was just ok. Their Social Distancing protocol should be better. People were coming in not wearing masks. The managers need to be aware that if customers don't feel safe. They won't come back or they will leave. The restaurant business is hurting during the Pandemic. But they should make every effort to do what they can to make it safe!
