Mary Ruth’s Restaurant

A late night desperate search for anything nearby led us here. The googler promised much in its reviews and Mary Ruth's did not disappoint. First thing I noticed, clean bathrooms. A must have on a road trip stop. Immediately obvious that someone takes pride in this local joint. Then, the customer service...we felt like superstars. If it wasn't on the menu, they were ready to make it anyway just to please us. We settled for hamburger steak with onion gravy, Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes and green beans topped with a delectable corn muffin. All piping hot and seemingly pre-blessed. And as if they heard us thinking aloud "How could this get any better...?" The owners popped over to ensure we were happy with everything.
Yes. Yes we are. And you will be too. The matriarchs this restaurant is named after would be proud. You'll see their smiling faces if you visit.

Like you were visiting your grandmother. This food is so good that we bought a whole pan of dessert and a bunch of wings to take back to our children and grandchildren. This food is so good you will be licking your fingers!

So as we waited for our extra order they gave us a tasting on the side.

Plenty of people coming in who must be regulars cause they all talked like family.

You need to experience this restaurant and the warmest service we have ever had. If I lived here I would eat here every day.

We were just passing through on the way to the Hank Williams’ home place museum, and found this gem on Google. We are super glad we made the stop. Such friendly folks, and BOMB food! 🔥 The ribs were some of the best we’ve ever had, the mac and cheese was rich and cheesy and the CORN…it’s got the juice! 10/10 will visit every time we are in the area.

The family and I enjoyed Sunday dinner here and we will definitely be back again soon. The ribs were flavorful and tender. The squash casserole was very delicious and that says a lot coming from the person who doesn't eat vegetables. 🤣 The staff was very attentive and friendly.

Feels like home here. Nice Southern atmospher. Staff are very friendly. Food be hot and very good! Catfish Fridays so I called in to have mines fried hard and they did just that!! So good. Not the best pic but I was in my plate before I pulled off..lol
