“I went off and left my bacon, egg and cheese biscuit, too busy chatting with the window server about the French toast biscuits or whatever they were. Didn't even notice til I got to work. When I had the time I called back, they were very understanding (the cashier even remembered what my order was) and told me to just come back the next morning (which I did). Same girls were there and promptly fixed my biscuits and sent me on my way. Very helpful and friendly.”

“I live in Atlanta and this is the only place between Atlanta and Birmingham where you can get Atlanta quality food. I loved it so much David catered my wedding. Most of the veggies are grown on David’s farm. It’s the only truly farm to table place within 50 miles. I’ve never had a bad meal. As a matter of fact I trust them so much I don’t even need to look at the menu. I will walk in and tell David just make me something good. And it never disappoints. Garfrericks is one of the only things I miss about living in oxford. Try the short ribs. You’re welcome.”

I talk it up every time I head back south and my family plays along, but neither of us on this particular trip expected the food to be as good as it was. Everything - the chicken, the sides, the biscuits - was hot and fresh, the counter help was helpful and pleasant and the store clean and homey. I may never come to this location ever again but, for now, it stands as the yardstick by which I will measure all franchise fried chicken. Well done!”
