My husband and I absolutely love Big Mike's! The food, the service....everything is always excellent! We normally get the Steaks or the Pork Chops and they are always over-the-top FANTASTIC, however, tonight, I decided to get the Rooster Cowboy. This dish is a BBQ chicken breast with 2 bacon slices and a choice of cheese. I was a bit thrown back when my dish arrived with what I call "plastic cheese" (cheese that you have to unwrap the plastic from). Shredded cheese would have been so much better. To me, plastic cheese has a weird oily mouth feel and consistency. I was able to peel it off in one piece and just get on with my meal. The chicken was still really good but I know Big Mike's is better than this and hope saying this will give them something to think about and hopefully improve this dish. This one small change could upgrade this menu option to match the perfection of their steaks and chops!

I am so disappointed that I did not have pics of before, but because we were so hungry, and the food was so delicious, we dived right in without hesitation. Last night was my first time here with my husband. I have been waiting to go here for a while. I wish they had a finger-licking emoji, because I would've totally use it. The onion straws were DELICIOUS. The batter had lots of flavor, and what I loved is there wasn't a lot of grease, and it wasn't like you were just tasting the breading and barley any onion. I had no clue that while dining you got complimentary bread, which was also a nice treat. We had Jo for our waiter. He was very attentive and such a sweetheart. When my pocket can afford it, we will definitely be back. Totally worth every penny. Please see a pic of the empty plates, justifying our gluttony 🫣. I think someone should have rolled me out the door, it was awesome 👌 👏

The doors opened at around 3.45, and there was a line of people waiting, so it is suggested to get there early. We were seated, and our waiter was with us promptly. We ordered fried pickles appetizer, which was well "a OK" it does say sweet pickles and sweet they were so if tou are a traditional fried ivkles fan this one may not be for you. Warm bread with cinnamon butter was good. Steaks were great. Both of my kids got an 8 oz steak and enjoyed it. My husband got a steak. It was supposed to be cooked medium, but it was a little overcooked. According to him, it was "too good to complain," and it was all gone. My Sweetwater stack was great. It had one of the best crabcakes I have ever had. Shrimp was nicely seasoned and grilled to perfection. The side of broccoli was also very good, so was the sweet potato. Overall, if we are back in Andalusia this will be our #1 choice for food, of course if there is not a long wait.

The shrimp appetizer, salad, bread and filet (medium) and potato casserole are all absolutely amazing! One of our favorite places to eat!
And The bread pudding is to die for!!!!!!

Arrive early is the first thing I’ll say. We arrived at approximately 3:30 on a Saturday and the line was already starting. We were the 6/7th party in line. They also opened approximately 10-15 minutes earlier than their posted hour but that’s not guaranteed.

The service we received was absolutely amazing. Kristie was absolutely the sweetest. The drinks we ordered was pretty good. Mixed great and well balanced. The second drink we ordered was not as good but still fairly descent.

The steak was good but I was expecting better. We did drive an hour to eat here. I ordered a medium steak and it seemed more medium well. I’m sure if it was medium it would’ve been perfect.

She got the fried shrimp. It was fried well and the breading was good. Overall not great but good.

The bread they served is amazing, along with the salad. The appetizer was OK (steak queso). There was Not much steak in it.

Overall, the experience was pleasant. The environment was comfortable and the staff was very friendly. The price was not tooo bad compared to most steakhouse. I definitely recommend to anyone that’s looking for a good restaurant to have a descent meal.
