“First time here for my birthday. The house salad had 2 or more different kinds of lettuce that was fresh. The fried mushrooms and potato skins were good. Grilled shrimp was good, it had a little bit of spice to it. The coconut shrimp was a cut above the rest. The sirloin steak (black label) was cooked to perfection and was delicious. The cheesy potato soup was on point. We will definitely be returning.”

“My wife and I were out on a motorcycle ride, and we discovered Whitlock's cafe by luck we were hungry, so we stopped. We went in and had a seat it was lunch time on a Saturday the place was about halfway full the waitress came over and took our order within a minute or two we ordered 2 Ice tea's and two cheeseburgers and fries. We had our meals in about 5-7 minutes the cheeseburgers were very good thick and juicy and as big as the bun. The fries were crinkle cut and hot and the iced tea was good as well. there was also a lot of take outs while we were there, I will defiantly stop in again.”

“Always friendly faces at the V & W Food Mart. They have lunch specials in a good little cafeteria setup in the rear of the store and they have a good home cooking Monday through Friday but you have to get there between 11:30 and 12:30. This is a typical food mart with beverages, food, bread and milk along with a clean safe environment that many families enjoy when they stop by. The gas prices are very competitive and they have clean restrooms.”

“We had dinner for four the other night and were very surprised. The road is a little bumpy getting there but once there the property opens up to a beautifully manicured RV park with a good view of the lake. The restaurant has been open about three weeks and will have the liquor license soon. The service was very good and it has a very down home feel, nothing fancy menu. We had the fried shrimp, crab legs and a rib eye. Everything we had was good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We went back to try the breakfast and it was delicious as well.
