The food was cooked fresh, good quality, good customer service. That was my first time but it won't be my last. The atmosphere was like being at momma's house. We all know nothing like momma's kitchen. Great place! !!!

A wonderful local hidden gem across from McDonald's in Glencoe. I had the Monday meatloaf special. It was tender and juicy. They have an amazing choice of sides to include fried pickles and fried mushrooms! The food was fast and the service was wonderful. I'll be coming back again.

I haven't been here in about 10 years. I have to say that what I liked about the place is better than before and what I didn't like was is GONE. The staff was super friendly even though we arrived neatly at closing and ate in . The chicken and dressing was GREAT and very different in a good way (imagine a delicious chicken and dressing topped with chicken and dumplings... We had the fried eggplant, fried mushrooms, mexican cornbread, fried green tomatoes, and Cole slaw and each was as good as we have ever had anywhere locally and better in fact.

We left, the staff was still super friendly, the place was spotless but of course old with patina and real local restaurant character, and I ate so much that another trip will be needed to enjoy a couple of pieces of pie.

Love the food at this place. It's not just BBQ that they sell. But you can get BBQ by the pound or sandwich. They have country food and different kinds of specials for everyday of the week. Great food. Everything is delicious that I have tried so far. Just don't go in here if you are in a rush and wanting a friendly staff. Besides the sweet teenager every so often the staff mostly are rude and short. But that's not stopping me from getting that yummy food. Highly recommended. Five stars minus a quarter star for the staff.

Best homemade country food hands down in Glencoe! You have to try it and you will love it! Prices are extremely reasonable and the people that work there are so friendly.
