Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken

I was greeted upon walking through the door, I was immediately notified of what specials they were running, and when I ordered my food came out in a very timely manner. The staff was VERY NICE & KIND, the restaurant was spacious and clean, and the staff looked clean and pleasant. The food was AMAZING as well ????????????????

I had a taste on Wednesday afternoon for some Good Fried Chicken. I decided to call in Door Dash and ordered from Gus’s. However, I was so disappointed because even though the Chicken was good and hot and the crust crispy the meat itself wasn’t seasoned enough. Also, the bake beans was Van Camp Pork and Beans our of can with spices added to it. I couldn’t believe it was Van Camp Pork and Beans, and the Cole slaw wasn’t good either. Next, the macaroni and cheese I can’t believe the small portions I received on the sides but to just put noodles with cheap cheese and call it macaroni and cheese they really need to be a shame. Plus, I received 1 slice of bread for a 3 piece all white and 3 sides. Check the pictures out. I will stay with Hattie B’s Hot Chicken and Eugene’s Hot Chicken because they have the best food with great and tasted sides. I know a lot of Restaurants that are cutting back on food, buying smaller containers and giving less and finding ways to be cheaper but cutting back on quality ingredients should never, ever be one of them.

Service was excellent. Chicken was cooked to order. Super crispy and moist on the inside. Sides were ok. Subjectively not a fan of the spices but you might like it. Nice clean ambience. Good easy parking. Casual place for lunch.

The chicken is just the right amount of spicy, the slaw is perfect, and the okra is crave worthy. Truly the best chicken in Birmingham! Most of all they have great service; Cory really went above and beyond to make our visit fabulous. Love this place!

Great vibe!!! Music was playing, and we were welcomed by the employees!!! Food was fresh. Chicken wings were salty???? but what I like about it is that you don't have to use hot sauce due to the spices they seasoned the chicken with! This is the 3wing plate with okra fried hard and french fries!!
