Happy Wok Asian Cuisine

Lomein saved the order. The Mongolian beef gets 1 star it tasted like straight sugar... which is weird because this dish is usually a spicy one!

Brand new place - just a couple months old. Much nicer than the name and exterior might make you think. I was expecting a fast food type place; but there's a pretty nice Chinese restaurant in there. Everything we had was delicious and well cooked. Wait staff was very attentive and nice. Huge menu, full of tasty items. I will definitely be back! ????
Heads up, though: the Sesame Chicken is a little weird.

The food and service was was excellent. Easily the best Asian cuisine in NE Birmingham. I highly recommend this restaurant. If I could give 10 stars I would. Eat here if you like Asian food. You will not be disappointed!!

So I have dined here 4-5 times since my initial review. I have had a different dish each time. I am still very impressd with Happy Wok. The food is fresh and savory. The service is impeccable. One thing does worry me. I have not seen more than 2 or 3 occupied tables when I am there. This place should be packed! Hope they can make it! I cant go back to regular ole asian cuisine????

Happy Wok is some of the best food to be found. The menu is extensive as would be expected and the off-menu selections are also numerous. This includes dishes from all over east Asia. I enjoyed the Thai Curry tonight for something different. The steamed dumplings starter is always a good choice. I appreciated the hot tea was jasmine green tea, a nice touch on a cool evening.

Better than your typical strip mall Chinese food joint. When dining in the portions are really good big enough to share. My wife and I got two entrees and shared each other’s dood. I had something with shrimp and it was delicious and did not have that seafood taste that overpowers everything. My wife got the orange chicken and it came out crispy and not soggy
