Overall pretty good. Really great atmosphere. Service and food were ok. They just got a new chef so hopefully the kinks will be worked out soon.
Four of us went for brunch. I selected the restaurant because of reviews, it was close and I could get an early reservation. The building is unique. The menu is inventive. I had one of the most different Eggs Benidict I've ever enjoyed. Eggs were done perfectly, but instead of a English muffin, the dish had an unusal biscuit. Really good.
One of the better meals I've had, everything had thought put into it. Brandon (the owner) came by and visited for a bit and made sure everything was excellent. Entire staff was great and will definitely visit again and recommend to anyone looking for a unique and local flavor.
Let me start by saying, the historical and architectural interest of the building alone was enough to make me happy. Add to that the excellent service, food and ambiance, and, well, I think I had a new best dining experience. We were there for brunch and everyone in our party of 5 order a different entree. From waffles to grits, it was delicious. Thoughtfully presented, with excellent service. The beignets were addictive. We would definitely go back for a redo!
Great ambiance. Loved the omelette and egg drop sandwich. Fried chicken sandwich had a great flavor but was difficult to eat because the chicken was so thick. Garlic fries were cold, but server quickly brought some fresh ones. That's the main reason for only 4 stars, cold fries should have never been put on the plate.
