Taco Mama - Trussville

Ok so I guess because it's still new the hype hasn't died down yet and the line was literally out the door. At first I thought it would be a problem for me but it wasn't... they had heaters outside to help keep us warm in this cold weather and the line moved pretty fast. Everyone was so nice and friendly and the food I got was SO good! (Mama's Chorizo Tacos) I highly recommend this place and will be going back. Great fast service, good food, and inexpensive.

Food was good. Atmosphere was nice. Wait staff offered to refill drinks. Restaurant is in a small space though. Seemed a little cramped. Will be back though. Great guacamole.

Not bad, not great, just ok. We got the pork tacos and to be honest they were not as good as what you can get in other Mexican restaurants in the area, for the same price. The salsa was good but the chips were cheap packaged chips like what you get at Taco Bell. On a separate note I really don't like the idea of leaving a tip before service is rendered. You wait in line then pay, then find a place to sit and they bring you the food, which is fine. But I won't leave a tip on a credit card when paying in advance, it defeats the purpose of tipping. We probably won't be back just because there are much better options at the same price.

I'd give it 10 stars if I could! Fresh food, lots of great choices. Indoor & outdoor seating. We had burritos & tacos, ground beef & chicken. Great. Really good guacamole. Food comes with salsa & chips. They are great as well. Service was very good too......I'll be back!
