Taj India

Taj India is my favorite place to go eat by myself for lunch. I love the giant bottle of water and the brass cups. Everything about the place is delightful. It’s the best food when you’re hung over too.

The atmosphere, service and food was impeccable.
They have a wide array of dishes varying in spiciness.
They will customize each dish from mild to XXX spicy.
The server was very knowledgeable and took time to answer all our questions.
Our bill was $48 for 2 entrees, garlic naan bread, 2 beers, and a coke.

Taj is great! Great staff and very flavorful high quality food. Lots of vegetarian options but the meat options I have had are great as well! Highly recommend. They will tailor spiciness to the level you want so don’t hesitate to let them know.

I don't always leave reviews, especially when I go to a restaurant, but this place deserves every star I gave it. The food was great, and the service was honestly some of the best I've ever had. We came in a little close to close, but the hostess was extremely nice and personable, and they we're extremely attentive. I will definitely be back.

A friend and I went this evening for our first dine-in experience since Covid hit. We didn't know it was Birmingham Restaurant Week but decided to order from that menu. We got the Panjabi Thali and the Chef Special Thali and we're blown away at how great of a deal this was, so much food for $10! We got to try things we've never had before, and all of it was delicious ? The staff was so friendly and amazing and they were cleaning and disinfecting absolutely everything. A really great experience all round! ?
