Staff were friendly and attentive, and the ice cream lived up to the brand's high standards (flavors change daily, as all ice cream is indeed made in house, and there are always a few seasonal specialties). Nice patio area out front to eat at, as well, including a lovely fenced-in sitting garden.”

“By far the best macarons in town. I did a macaron tour in DC recently and none compared there either. I rate their macarons in my top 3. The other two are in Paris. They also did a beautiful, custom tower for my wedding! The bon bons are delicious as well. That one star review I suspect is fake or personal.”

“I go to buy the granola but I always end up with a bagel too. I just can't help it. The everything bagel, whether it is the bagel or a sandwich with anything you could want on a bagel is everything you would want to eat. But I actually go there to buy the granola because I can't find a better granola on earth. Stumbled upon this place when killing time in Birmingham, such a cute location tucked next to a great nursery! Also a great selection of bagel and coffees and friendly staff”

“Ate breakfast there today and it was fabulous. Had the breakfast sandwich on whole wheat bread and conecuh sausage. It was the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had. Also, got to taste their new peanut butter cookie and it was great also. Service was good & food is excellent. Also, called Smoothrock Cafe and located under dermatology doctor office. It is worth the trip!!”
