It is my understanding that they are closed but still felt compelled to write this. This is not meant as a hateful review but as constructive criticism for the owner. Should they happen to have a desire to relaunch this service and also happen to read this, I hope they will take this to heart, as I want nothing but success for a local business. I dont know why they closed, but if it had anything to do with losing many customers to their competitor (GrubSouth), I can understand why. Shoals Takeout hours were significantly inferior to Grub South, where u couldnt place an order past 7:30pm, while you could get an order in before 9 with GrubSouth. Shoals Takeout closed on Sundays while you could count on GrubSouth being open on Sundays. The delivery time was often vastly different, with orders from GrubSouth often arriving in less than an hour while I would have to wait 1 and a half to 2 hours for food to get here by Shoals Takeout. The customer service was also vastly different. With Shoals Takeout, you had to text the number and hope somebody would get back to you, whereas with GrubSouth I could talk to a human if needed. I hung on with Shoals Takeout as long as I could, but finally, probably like many other customers I got fed up and went to the competitor. Again, I want nothing more than for a local business to succeed, and something like a meal delivery service is likely to do well because of the increased demand for convenience by todays customers. But for a business like this to succeed it needs to be more customer centered. Hope you guys try again!
